Azad Soch is a progressive initiative in Pakistan promoting independent thought, social awareness, and community empowerment. Focused on education, gender equality, and poverty, it fosters dialogue, critical thinking, and creative expression to drive sustainable change. Azad Soch envisions an inclusive, equitable future for all.
Poverty is a major issue in Pakistan, with a significant portion of the population living below the poverty line. The government is working on poverty alleviation programs, but challenges remain in providing equal opportunities for all.
Education in Pakistan faces several challenges including lack of infrastructure, teacher training, and access to quality education in rural areas. Improving the education system is crucial for the country’s future development.
Where needed, we establish reading groups to disseminate additional information and engage in Socratic dialogues with individuals, maintaining impartiality in our conversations. As our understanding deepens, we experiment with reforms aimed at driving change. We rigorously study the impact of these reforms using scientific evaluation methods. The findings from this research are then shared through videos and dialogues with policymakers.
Our approach is incremental. We begin by internally deliberating on a social issue, which then becomes the focal point of our work for several months. Utilizing international research, we delve into the underlying dynamics of the issue by studying these issues across different cultures. This provides a foundation for engaging in dialogues with community members to gather their perspectives. Throughout this process, we produce short videos and documentaries to amplify these discussions to a wider audience.
